John F. Black, as Owner/Broker of West Wood Realty, has been in the real estate business for over 38 years.  John specializes in vacant land sales and project development in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho Metropolitan area.

John originally developed a 1,150 acre planned community known as the Seven Bar Ranch/Cottonwood project, which includes over 3.5 million square feet of commercial projects and over 3,000 residential units.  The commercial projects which John leased, sold and/or developed in this venture include the 1.3 million square foot Simon Group Cottonwood Mall, the Cottonwood Regional Auto Park, two major power centers, a community center, two neighborhood shopping centers, and four office projects as part of the 3.5 million square feet of retail and office developments in the Cottonwood/Seven Bar Ranch development.

As part owner and Managing Partner, John was also responsible for planning, zoning, developing and leasing the Corrales Shopping Center, Alameda West Shopping Center, Coors Central Shopping Center, the Las Tiendas Shopping Center, the Promenade Shopping Center in NE Albuquerque, and the Cottonwood Crossing commercial subdivisions, Phase I and II, which consist of buildings containing over 700,000 square feet.

John is a partner in and has just finished zoning and annexing an even larger master planned project known as the Quail Ranch.  This new planned community consists of 6,500 acres and is zoned for 25,000 residential units and over 10 million square feet of commercial and industrial uses.  This project is positioned to start in a few years when the market and economy are ready for this new development.  It is located in the City of Rio Rancho and just west of the Ventana Ranch development that was completed and devleoped just prior to the market slow down.  Quail Ranch is ten minutes north of I-40 and immediately adjacent to the City of Albuquerque's new Double Eagle II Airport.

John is also a partner working on two Planning and Development Leases with the State of New Mexico.  These two long term leases consist of: 1) 140 acres in the new Rio Rancho Downtown City Centre project, and, 2) the new Paseo Gateway Planned Community with over 500 acres of land adjacent to the new $109 million Sue Cleveland HighSchool and fronting on the new Paseo del Volcan Freeway in Rio Rancho.

John is a one of five Board Members who run the Laguna Development Corporation (LDC).  LDC owns and operates the Route 66 Casino and Hotel, Legends Theatre, two supermarkets, and several refueling and convenience stores west of Albuquerque.  They employ 1,200 people.

James E. Haworth, as Owner/Broker of West Wood Realty, has been involved in development and real estate projects in New Mexico spanning the last 34 years.  He specializes in farm and ranch sales, commercial site selection, and vacant land sales and development.

Jim is marketing the Galisteo Basin Preserve with Commonweal Conservancy, a nonprofit conservation-based community development organization. Commonweal Conservancy negotiated an agreement to purchase the Preserve, previously known as the Thornton Ranch. This 12,800-acre conservation development project is located 15 miles southeast of Santa Fe, New Mexico, in the central Galisteo Basin. Jim was one of the partners and developers of the Renaissance project, a 240 acre mixed-use development, located adjacent to I-25 in Albuquerque. It was the largest mixed-use development in New Mexico at the time. Jim was also one of the founding partners of Albuquerque Title Company.  Jim is also a partner in 505 Southwestern Chili Company.  Jim's passion is raising top-notch quarter horses, used for reigning and ranch work.

Rod L. Smith, as Owner/Qualifying Broker of West Wood Realty, has been in the commercial and industrial real estate business for 10 years.  Rod specializes in land sales, office, warehouse and retail sales and leasing, and investment opportunities in Rio Rancho and Albuquerque’s west side.

Prior to joining West Wood Realty, and for 6 of the ten years in the industry, Rod was with Dowsett Commercial, Ltd., and Cooper Commercial, Ltd. in Michigan.
Rod’s present activities at West Wood include marketing the Sandia View Business Center, high-image office complexes, commercial and industrial vacant land, and income properties.

Prior to joining West Wood, John spent 15 years in the Stamford, Connecticut office of CB Richard Ellis.  While in Connecticut, John represented numerous clients , developers,  and institutions such as Federal Express, Black and Decker, Kimberly Clarke, I.T.T., Barclays Bank, Traveler's Insurance, Equitable Life Assurance,  Chase Bank, Allstate Insurance, and United Technologies.

Gregory B. Campbell, as Owner/Broker of West Wood Realty, has been in the Real Estate business for over 30 years.  Greg specializes in Vacant Land Sales and Development, Site Selection, General Brokerage, and residential subdivision sales.

Greg is currently working on various bulk land and residential subdivision sales as well as land entitlement and development in the City Centre and Paseo Gateway areas of Rio Rancho.  He is also a partner in two planning and development leases for State Land Office properties in the City of Rio Rancho known as the City Centre project adjacent to the new Downtown of the City of Rio Rancho and the Paseo Gateway project which includes the new Sue Cleveland High School.   

Much of Greg's experience in real estate was focused on residential development.  Greg built homes in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho for over 25 years as owner of Crest Construction Inc., which he closed in 2002.  He served as President of the Central New Mexico Home Builders Association in the mid-1980's.

Greg served as a business member of the Capital Improvements Planning Citizens Advisory Committee in the City of Rio Rancho.  In 2004, Greg was also elected Vice Chairman CIPCAC.  Additionally, Greg served on committees to promote passage of southern Sandoval County Arroyo Flood Control Bonds and other bond initiatives in Rio Rancho.

Rick Bressan, a Broker of West Wood Realty, has been in the Real Estate business for over 30 years.   He held the responsibility for starting up the production housing operations of a New Mexico home builder.   Specifically, Rick's responsibilities included being Vice President-Land and Forward Planning for the New Mexico division of a national homebuilder.  He also served as the Financial Officer and Vice President- Land Acquisition for the New Mexico division of another national homebuilder and Executive Vice President for a real estate holding company.

He has extensive experience in all facets of the homebuilding industry including financial reporting, bank financing, budgeting & strategic planning, acquisition due diligence, land acquisition & development, sales and construction.

Rick has also operated a consulting practice offering a full range of financial and operating services to clients in the manufacturing, retail, and real estate industries.

Rick is a graduate of The University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.   He was on the audit staff of two national public accounting firms where his principal client base was in the real estate industry, both commercial and residential.

He was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 1975 (his license is currently inactive) and as an Associate Real Estate Broker in 2006.
